Enjoy the scenic driver’s eye view onboard a Scotrail class 156, working the 12.22 from Glasgow Queen Street to Fort William on the 18th July 2022.


This was a day of extreme heat and on some sections, we were required to travel at a reduced speed limit.


The West Highland line heads through the suburbs of Glasgow and then passes through Dumbarton, Helensburgh, Arrochar & Tarbet before arriving at Crianlarich, where the train service splits for Oban and Fort William.


The service then continues up to County March summit and then over Rannoch moor before finally passing by Ben Nevis and arriving at Fort William.

Enjoy this scenic driver’s eye view onboard a Scotrail class 170, working the 15.07 Glasgow Queen Street to Inverness on the 3rd May 2023.


The Highland mainline is a highly scenic and varied route, with the overhead wires section ending at Dunblane.


We next head past Perth before entering the single-track section at Stanley Junction, passing Dunkeld & Birnam, Pitlochry and Blair Atholl, before the double track section for the run up to Dalwhinnie.


Our journey continues on the single-track section as far as Culloden, before the last few miles of double track into Inverness.

Telerail in the Cab Volume 27 – Willesden DC Rail Sidings to Chessington South


Enjoy a unique experience as we join the crew for this unusual route through some busy parts of the London suburban network hauling a heavy train load of aggregates.


Travel alongside the driver of 6O15 12.01 Willesden DC Rail Sidings to Chessington South service on the 3rdOctober 2023 hauled by DC Rail 56091 & 56301.


After departing from Willesden this interesting route passes through Kensington Olympia before crossing the River Thames on Battersea railway bridge.


After waiting at Clapham Junction, the train powers away and passes Balham before branching off at Streatham north and south junctions and then heading for Wimbledon. We again leave the mainline at Raynes Park before heading onto the Chessington line at Motspur Park Junction, finally reaching our destination at Chessington South where the heavy cargo of aggregates are unloaded.

Travel with the driver on board unit 158714 working the scenic 08.55 Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh. Filmed during the wonderful spring weather Scotland experienced in May 2024.


This popular picturesque route leaves Inverness and passes over the Caledonian canal at Clachnaharry before heading for Dingwall where it branches off for the run west to Kyle of Lochalsh.


After the climb up to Raven Rock the line passes through Garve and Achnasheen before running along the beautiful coastal section of Loch Carron.


Finally, after passing the penultimate station at Plockton, journey’s end is the scenic Kyle of Lochalsh with its fine views, where rail services once connected with the car and passenger ferry to the Isle of Skye.
